5-day residency for Sebastian Mügge, 
a German-Swedish interdisciplinary artist who is based in Umeå, Sweden.

From the 25th to the 30th April 2017 Sebastian Mügge resided at The Artists’ Apartments, John’s Square, during which time he hosted a social drawing event at Lucky Lane, Catherine Street, spoke about his practice to an audience of students in the Lecture Teatre at Limerick School of Art and Design, Clare Street campus, was hosted by Ormston House at the ‘Work Space Social’ where he engaged in collaborative drawing with the audience, led a workshop with Irish Artist Barbara Knezevic's drawing students from Dublin Institute of Technology, opened an exhibition entitled #Limerick with The Project Motive in Mother Mac's Pub on High Street, and collaborated on a print edition with artist Isabella Walsh at the Limerick Printmakers.

Sebastian's project was be based on Limerick City. In preparation for his's visit to Limerick, he had been using images found by searching #Limerick as source material for an extensive drawing series. [see Image 1] 

His recent work includes "#deadboycatfilmsexyselfiesuccessquotesgalway", a composite charcoal drawing which spanned the walls of Gallery 126 in Galway, during January 2017. The drawing was comprised of "selfies", videos and images submitted via email to the artist and the gallery, combined with images researched from various social media channels. [see Image 2]

Schedule of Events
From 19:00 - 21:00 on Wednesday, April 26th, a social drawing event 'Draw In - Lucky Lane' was led by Sebastian in Lucky Lane on Catherine Street. Participants were invited to bring along their favourite drawing materials and take inspiration from the space. Lucky Lane is an emporium of eclectic objects which made it an exciting place for drawing. [see Image 3] 

From 11:30 am - 12:30 pm on Thursday, April 27th, Sebastian delivered a talk to students of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Contemporary Practice at Limerick School of Art and Design focusing on his experience with international residencies and grants. He also touched on his own practice which includes many collaborative projects. The talk took place in the lecture theatre behind the reception desk on the main campus on Clare Street. [see Image 4] 

At 1.00 pm on the same day, Sebastian was hosted by Ormston House at their 22nd weekly Work Space Social where after speaking on his practice he instigated a group drawing activity. All who came were invited to collaborate with Sebastian on a large wall drawing. [see Image 5] 

At 12:00 pm on Friday, April 28th, Sebastian led a workshop in Ormston House with Irish Artist Barbara Knezevic's drawing students from Dublin Institute of Technology. [see Image 6] 

At 7:00 pm on the same day, in Peggy's Parlour at Mother Mac's Bar on High Street, there was launched an exhibition of drawings by Sebastian entitled #Limerick. [see Image 7] 

At 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 29th, Sebastian collaborated with artist Isabella Walsh on a print edition at The Limerick Printmakers
