The New Guild of Domestic Cooks 12 Hour Cooking Marathon
Occupy Space and The New Guild of Domestic Cooks will be hosting a 12 Hour Cooking Marathon on the 20th of September, Culture Night 2013. From 9am to 9pm, The New Guild of Domestic Cooks, facilitated by local artist Natalie Woociker, will hold free cooking lessons and tastings of the food prepared in a pop up kitchen on the Occupy Space premises. Any and all are welcome to drop in at No. 9 Lower Cecil St. Limerick for a day of do-it-yourself cooking. We encourage all cooks, amateur and expert alike, to bring along their favourite recipes and lead us in a makeshift cooking lesson of their own. At 9pm we will eat what we have prepared, with the knowledge that it is possible to eat good food for yourself.
If you would like to demonstrate a cooking lesson on the day please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The New Guild of Domestic Cooks is an internet and real-time cooking forum, by and for people who cook in their homes. We are non-professional lovers of food, with a desire to learn from other non-professionals. Our meetings happen both intentionally and randomly, and always involve eating and demonstrating how something is being made. We are hands on learners, who host informal "cooking lessons" in kitchens all over Ireland. We cook with great intention and awareness and seek to gently promote kitchen intentionality everywhere we go.
