Dear All,

Thank you so much for all your support throughout the year.

We have had a great year working with some very talented artists and curators with shows such as 'Location', 'Now That's What I Call Praxis', 'Spiders from Mars', 'The Wood Between the Worlds' and 'Common Place'. We have also had the opportunity to work with some brilliant organisations this year such as Limerick City Gallery where we exhibited our archival show Occupy Space@LCGA, Sean Guinan and Laura Kelly's solo shows and an exhibition of the RAP archive. Istabraq Hall, situated in Limerick City Council, hosted Pamela Valfer and Allen Brewers show Common Place. We travelled up to the National College of Art and Design in February where we invited Art Links Limerick to create their interactive studio The Value of Water. We also had our Un_Noted Professional Development Workshops hosted by the Belltable and Ormston House in October and November.

This year we had the relaunch and rejuvenation of Occupy Paper launching issue 7 in the Belltable in June and soon to come will be issue 8 due to be available early in the new year.

We never expected when our gallery closed in Thomas St. Limerick the level of support that would be waiting for us. A huge thank you to Michele Horrigan, the curator of the Belltable and Mary Conlon director of Ormston House for offering their space for our workshops and their help throughout the year. Thank you to Helen Carey, director of LCGA, for inviting us to exhibit with them and for her support. To Sheila Deegan, the Limerick City Council arts officer, without her support through out the year who knows where we would be. Thank you to Faber Studios and Raggle Taggle who have always been there to lend a hand. And last but not least to the Arts Council for the funding and support they have given us this past year.

As the year draws to a close we say goodbye to co-director Kevin O' Keefe who has been there since the beginning of Occupy Space in 2009, with all the hard work he has put in over the past three years he has helped make Occupy Space what it is today and will be sorely missed. But as Kevin leaves we also get to welcome our new co- director Orlaith Treacy.

Refreshed and rejuvenated we are planning some big things for next year. We are working with artist Gemma Gore to set up a new space, H-Q, that will hold a gallery space, studios, a residency programme and a multi- disciplinary project space. We have a solo show with artist Tadgh Ó Cuirrín coming up and we are working with Stag and Deer to curate an exhibition for the new year. Watch this space, we will be keeping you all up to date.

From Orlaith Treacy, Noelle Collins and all at Occupy Space

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
